Treatment Explained

Investigations & Tests

Understanding your condition starts with accurate diagnosis. We use various tests, from advanced blood analysis to bone marrow biopsies and specialized imaging like PET-CT scans, to form a complete picture of your health. Our goal is to explain each procedure clearly so you know exactly what to expect.

Chemotherapy & Targeted Therapies

Modern haematology offers highly personalised treatment options. Beyond traditional chemotherapy, we utilise targeted therapies and immunotherapies that specifically attack cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. These treatments are delivered in professional, supportive environments across Birmingham's leading private hospitals.

Supportive Care

Haematological care extends beyond direct treatment. Supportive care focuses on managing symptoms, preventing infections, and providing nutritional or psychological support. Whether it involves blood transfusions or specialist nursing care, we ensure you have a comprehensive safety net throughout your journey.

Diagnostic & Treatment Procedures

Bone Marrow Tests

A bone marrow test involves taking a small sample of the soft tissue inside your bones. It is a vital procedure for diagnosing blood cancers and monitoring treatment effectiveness. On the day, the area is numbed with local anaesthetic to ensure comfort. While you may feel some pressure, the procedure is quick, typically lasting around 20 minutes, and our specialized team provides full support throughout to ensure you feel at ease.

MRI, PET Scans & Radiotherapy

Imaging tests like MRI and PET scans allow doctors to visualize the extent of blood and bone cancers within the body with incredible detail. These non-invasive scans help map out treatment areas for radiotherapy, which uses targeted energy to treat specific cancer sites. We prioritize your safety and comfort, providing detailed guidance on how to prepare and continuous reassurance from our clinical staff throughout your treatment journey.
